Raise your hand if your first thought in the pandemic was to exercise. Right… I’m guessing, that wasn’t the first instinct of most people. Most of us wondered if we needed to be hoarding food and toilet paper. The first months of this were like nothing we’d ever seen. After awhile we started to hear about the “quarantine 15” because most of us were sitting home, trying not to get sick and worried about all of the things.
Now, it seems like we’re kind of settling into this pandemic. We are used to it and know how to navigate life to some extent. That doesn’t mean the stress has let up though. One good way to fight back the quarantine 15 and stress is exercise. There are so many people talking about working it back into their routines now. The thing is, all of the home workout equipment seems to be sold out in most places. There are still options though.
The gyms are closed and people have been looking for at home workout options. Companies like Peloton have been overflowing with new business. The good thing is a lot of these companies have also been offering trial periods. Peloton has a 30 day trial for their app. The app is full of cardio, strength, yoga classes and more. Full disclosure, I’m a Peloton rider and LOVE all they have to offer.
Another company to check out is Beachbody. I took their Insanity program years ago. It’s no joke and doesn’t require equipment. They have a trial as well. There are also lots of free classes on YouTube. Favorites are taught by Massy Arias or Brittnie Babe. They both has paid programs as well. Another good one is a Barre class offered on Amazon Prime. Even without workout equipment, it’s possible to get a good sweat and release some stress in these unbelievable times.
Are you finding ways to work out these days? We’d love to hear about it.
