Wondering… is anybody else on a decorating kick? Over the last year and some change many of us have spent way more time in our spaces. All that time lets you see exactly what you love about where you live and where you would like to make some changes. Around here, we’ve spent so much time in the home office and have been struck by how much the space could use a little jazzing up. If you have to spend so much time in a space, why not make it stylish?
Over the last few months, some things have been added here and there. If you need some inspiration for your space, maybe these finds will be a good place to start?
The office we’re sprucing up is pink and gold for the most part. We want to do an office spring refresh without going pink crazy. That can give big little kid vibes. Too much gold and it can easily feel over the top. So we’re trying to be subtle with pops in the right places.
Let’s shop!
This was all online shopping and even social media played a part in this makeover. On a random Instagram scroll, we came across and ad for Marshall’s that featured this gold pouf.
Two words : In. Love. That was an add to cart moment. Thinking it will be good to use for a quick seat or a foot rest. It’s so pretty it can be merely decoration too.
One of the first finds for the office was a rug that we’d had our eye on for months. It works with the pink and gold aspects of the space without being too much. The plan was for the room not to look like it was an exploded cupcake. Keeping the pink soft, mostly. The rug was the right price too.
The last addition to the space for our office Spring refresh is probably going to be this chair. It feels like it was made for a Queen. Yeah, we’ll take that. The color is perfection too! They actually have a bunch of pretty colors to choose from. No boring office vibes over here. If you’ve gotta take care of business, you may as well do it in style. Right?
After these pieces, we’re thinking more art on the walls to finish things off. We’ll see what we come up with. Have you been bitten by the decorating bug? What good finds have you stumbled up on?
